Rad Reading March

This moth I read the sequel to Daughter of the Moon Goddess, Heart of the Sun Warrior by Sue Lynn Tan. The cover is somehow even better than the last one, the colors, and art style are incredible.

After freeing her mother Xingyin try’s to settle down, but a healing magic makes the moon a target for a general Wugang to get. Wugang shall betray the emperor, and create an undead army to conquer the world. Can Xingyin, Liwei, and Wenzhi find a way to defeat Wugang? Or will his undead army conquer the world.

My favorite character Xingyin because she is brave. Evidence of Xingyin being brave is on page 386 where she says, “‘This isn’t just about vengeance; this is greater than us all. I want Wugang to pay for what he’s done, but more than that—I must do this. He is a tyrant, a ruthless madman, who thinks nothing of sending his armies on an endless rampage of death. He has killed so many, and he will murder countless more if not stopped. What future will await us under his reign ?’” This shows that Xingyin is brave because what she says in her speech. She knows that doing what she is going to so is super dangerous, and risky, but she does it anyway because if she doesn’t the whole world could fall. She did that when not many others would.

My favorite quote is on page 456 where the author tells us, “To live a life with love, was to live without regret.” This is my favorite quote because it gives such a good message in so little words. It just tells the reader from the characters perspective, how to live a life with love.
